On December 18, UCLA European History/Women’s History grad student Ryan Hilliard was honored by Representative Judy Chu (CA-27)  at an event recognizing the congresswoman’s constituents who had received Fulbright Awards. Ryan received a Fulbright US  Student Program Grant (Doctoral Grantee) to fund research in 2017-2018 in France on her dissertation project, “By Choice or By Circumstance: Singlewomen in Early Modern France.”  Professor Kathryn Norberg is her advisor.
