Xiang Chi (2019 PhD Candidate)
Funded by the Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS Program in China Studies: Pre-dissertation-Summer Travel Grant, Xiang Chi did an archival trip in Jilin Province, China in 2017 summer, and published an article “The Invention of the Forestry Bureau: The Jilin Provincial Forestry Bureau Under the Vision of the New Policies in the Late Qing Dynasty” on the Journal of Tsinghua University(Philosophy and Social Sciences) in May 2019. Xiang Chi joined the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) as a tenure-track assistant professor in September 2019.
