Jeff Dymond Selected for Scuola Normale Superiore Exchange Program

UCLA History Graduate Student, Jeffrey Dymond, has just been selected for the exchange program between UCLA and the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy for the summer of 2020, where he will continue to conduct research for his doctoral dissertation titled “The Formation of the State in Humanist Political Thought, c.1250-c.1550”.

Jeff has also just had a major article on Renaissance political thought – entitled “Human Character and the Formation of the State: Reconsidering Machiavelli and Polybius VI” – accepted and contracted for publication later this year by the Journal of the History of Ideas.
