Professor Emeritus Juan Gómez-Quiñones Passed Away

Juan Gómez-Quiñones, Research Professor Emeritus, passed away on November 11, 2020.  A noted scholar of Chicano/a history, Juan earned his PhD in history at UCLA and taught in the department from 1969 until his recent retirement. He served as the Director of the Chicano Studies Research Center for several years, and was active in community affairs in addition to his prolific academic work.
