Historian Robin D. G. Kelley 2021 Freedom Scholar Award Recipient
Robin D.G. Kelley is one of six recipients of the 2021 Freedom Scholars Awards from the Marguerite Casey Foundation and the Group Health Foundation and will receive $250,000 to advance his work in service of justice, freedom and social change. Now in its second year, the $1.5 million in awards support thinkers and scholars whose work can help improve the economy and society. The two foundations partnered to recognize scholars who provide critical data, analysis, and ideas to movements working to shift the balance of power in society.
