Laura Talamante named Presidential Outstanding Professor 2023

Laura Talamante (Professor and Chair of the Department of History at California State University, Dominguez Hills) was named  Presidential Outstanding Professor 2023. This award “honors  individuals for their teaching, commitment to their desired field, and service to the campus and CSU system.”

The Western Society for French History has also honored  Laura, naming her the 2023 recipient of the Tyler Stovall Mission Prize which “recognizes teachers and scholars who are doing outstanding work to combat structural inequalities in the field of French/Francophone History, in the profession, in their home institutions, and beyond.”.
