Guillermo Miranda Wins UCLA Library Prize for International Research
Congratulations to Guillermo Miranda, whose project “Remembering the United States-Mexico Beef: How Aftosa and Fiao Become Tools of Resisting the Industrialization of Artisanal Mexican Cheese” has been awarded second place in the UCLA Library Prize for Undergraduate Research.
Guillermo received the prize in the new category for Best project using resources from an international collection, along with a $400 award. The Library Prize is a prestigious annual award that celebrates outstanding undergraduate research projects at UCLA.
Robin Derby, his faculty mentor, recommended he submit his paper for consideration. The award luncheon will be held on May 22nd at 2 PM in the Powell Library East Rotunda.
