Jewish Faculty and Community Members Unite in Defense of UCLA
A letter signed by more than 500 Jewish professors from a range of political views was sent to the UC Board of Regents criticizing the Trump Administration’s “misguided and punitive” demand for a $1-billion fine to settle claims over alleged antisemitism at UCLA. The letter insists that payment of the fine “will do nothing to make UCLA safer for Jews nor diminish antisemitism in the world” and will halt critical research and services used by Jewish students and staff at UCLA.
