HISTORY ACADEMIC AND CAREER COUNSELING

The History Counseling team provides academic counseling for History students and prospective students, and career counseling for History students from Weeks 1-10. All History counselors work on a hybrid schedule, offering students the flexibility to meet in person and remotely. Please see our schedule below for our updated counseling hours.

 

Academic Counseling

In-Person drop-in sessions are held Tuesdays, 2:00-4:00pm in the Undergraduate Counseling office on the 6th floor of Bunche Hall (6288 Bunche).

Remote drop-in sessions are held Thursdays, 2:00-4:00pm.

During the summer, Career Counseling will be appointment only. For an individual appointment, please email undergrad@history.ucla.edu. Include UID number and reason for appointment.

Submitting Documents

Our department is only accepting electronic copies of all student documentation, not paper copies. To submit any departmental documents – course substitution petitions, Honors thesis, completed College petitions requiring departmental signatures, etc – attach the completed documents to an email that includes your full name and UID, and email to undergrad@history.ucla.edu.

 

General Deadlines

All History contracts for Contract Courses are due Friday of week 1 of the given course term. Contracts must be completed in full, accurately, and emailed to undergrad@history.ucla.edu.

Major/minor declarations are processed during weeks 4-10 of each quarter.
