It is our great pleasure to announce the Tenth Undergraduate History Research Conference entitled “History Against the Grain: Counternarratives and Voices of Resistance” to be held on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026. We are accepting abstracts for consideration until Sunday, March 22 (11:59pm PT).

We encourage all UCLA undergraduates to submit original research papers that explore underrepresented or under researched historical narratives, particularly those emerging from overlooked archival materials, marginalized voices, or reinterpretations of primary documents. Submissions can be based on past or current work developed for History 96Ws, 97s, 187s, 191s, honors theses, or other historical research papers. Abstracts should be 250 words (or less) and submitted using this form: https://forms.gle/L1n3PhpqLpfHNrN99 by 11:59 pm Sunday, March 22.
