Sofia Yazpik

Biography

Sofia is a PhD student in History at UCLA. Her current research focuses on early colonial legal documents in central Mexico and their circulation into Iberia and beyond. She is interested in Indigenous productions of knowledge from the 16th to 18th centuries, the relationship between pictorial and alphabetic writing systems, and early modern collecting practices.
