Biography

I am a third-year PhD student in the field of South Asia. My broader interests encompass nineteenth and twentieth-century South Asia and the Middle East. But I am particularly focused on the cultural and intellectual history of Afghan nationalism in the early twentieth century. I will examine Afghan nationalism’s relationship with Islam and the politics of nationalist historiography and knowledge production during this period.
